Marguerite W. Wehr

Marguerite W. Wehr, 82, of Washington died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006 in the McCreedy Home in Washington.

      Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 in the St. James Catholic Church in Washington with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. James School or the McCreedy Home.

      Mrs. Wehr was born Jan. 20, 1924 north of Washington, the daughter of Charles and Esta Celia (Long) Beason Sr. She married Clarence "Bud" Wehr on May 18, 1963 in Iowa City.
