Maria Brubacher

KALONA - Maria Brubacher, 83, of Kalona, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a brief illness.

      Celebration of Life services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at Kalona Mennonite Church in Kalona, with the Rev. Scott Swartzendruber, the Rev. Mick Murray, and the Rev. David L. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. A memorial has been established for Kalona Mennonite Church.

      Mrs. Brubacher was born Oct. 24, 1922, in Siberia, Russia, to Jacob and Katrinia (Rempel) Willer. She married Richard Brubacher in Blade Creek, British Columbia, on Sept. 9, 1950.
