Marian Elizabeth 'Maribeth' Martell

Marian Elizabeth ?Maribeth? Martell, 63, of Fairfield died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013.

A memorial service was Saturday at Revelations Café in Fairfield. The body was cremated at Behner Funeral Home and Crematory in Fairfield.

Donations may be made in her name to a donor?s favorite charity.

Ms. Martell was born Feb. 6, 1950, at the Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, Ill.

She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in fine arts sculpture in 1972.

She was a dedicated practitioner of Transcendental Meditation for more than 43 years.

She was an artist and enjoyed drawing portraits and created many Raku ceramic pieces, especially masks.

Survivors include one brother Robert Martell of West Chicago, Ill.; and one niece Lief Ambrosia Hall of Vancouver, B.C. Canada.
