Marian 'Jean' Galitz

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Marian "Jean' Galitz, 83, of Columbus Junction, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, in Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, in the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with a luncheon to be held in the Columbus City United Methodist City Church following the service. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Columbus Cemetery with the Rev. Catherine Whitlatch of the Columbus Junction Methodist church officiating. Visitation will be at 4 to 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.

      Mrs. Galitz was born Oct. 16, 1924, in Columbus Junction, the daughter of Wendell D. and Mary Helen (Jones) Morgan. She married Donald A. Rutt on April 23, 1946, in Columbus Junction. He died in 1955. She later married Raymond L. Galitz on Dec. 29, 1984 in Columbus Junction.
