Marian L. Linnenbrink, 81, of the Kensington in Fort Madison, formerly of West Point, died at 3:13 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2005, at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.
The Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, with Father Apo Mpanda as celebrant. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation began after 1 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. followed by an American Legion Auxiliary service with family present from 2:30 to 4 p.m. A wake service will be at 7 p.m. with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. a memorial has been established to the West Point Rescue Squad and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Link Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, at the Kensington in Fort Madison; six daughters, Jean and her husband William Orr of Maple Grove, Minn., Judy and her husband Kenneth Sanders of St. Paul, Joyce and her husband Michael Kruse of Houghton, Linda DeBuhr of Spokane, Wash., Kathy and her husband Lynn Marshall of Dana, and Carol and Dave Clauss of Lancaster, Calif.; four sons, Larry and his wife Rita Linnenbrink of Donahue, Don and his wife Jane Linnenbrink of Beaman, Bob and his wife Kathy Linnenbrink of Tiffin, and Mike and his wife Liz Linnenbrink of Donnellson; 29 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edward and his wife Clemie Holtkamp, Arthur and his wife Darlene Holtkamp of Marion, and Tom and his wife Diane Holtkamp of St. Paul; and two sisters, Anita and her husband Ed Blindt of West Point, and Geraldine and her husband Don Conrad of Fort Madison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson; a brother, Lester; and a sister, Betty Jo.
