Marie A. Moeller

      Marie A. Moeller, 90, of the West Point Care Center, formerly of Houghton, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001 at Henry County Health Center.

      The funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 22, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Houghton with the Rev. Dennis Hoffman officiating. Visitation will begin after noon Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Link Funeral Home in West Point, with a rosary recited at 3 p.m. and a Christian vigil service at 7 p.m. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in Houghton. A memorial has been established for St. John Catholic Church.

      Mrs. Moeller was born Dec. 8, 1910 in Houghton, the daughter of Steve and Anna Schulte Pollmiller. She married Leo G. Moeller Nov. 14, 1939 at St. John Catholic Church, who preceded her in death Oct. 29, 1999. She was a lifelong resident of the Houghton area and was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the West Point Senior Citizens and the Altar and Rosary Society of St. John?s Church.

      Survivors include three sons, Carl W. Moeller of Fort Madison, Richard J. Moeller of Salem and Ralph J. Moeller of Alexandria, Va.; two daughters, Martha Ann and Robert Stuecker of West Point, and Jane M. Meyer of Davenport; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son and five sisters.
