Marie Bergstrom July 25, 1906 - November 10, 2003

Marie Bergstrom, 97, of Swedesburg, died on Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

      A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17 at the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Philip Borleske officiating. The body will be cremated and there will be no visitation, according to her wishes. A private family graveside service at the Swedesburg Church Cemetery will be held prior to the memorial service. Memorials have been established to the Swedesburg Lutheran Church and the Swedish Heritage Society. Honts Funeral Home of Winfield is in charge of the arrangements.

      Survivors include a sister, Mildred Bergstrom of Sunrise Terrace in Winfield; a brother, Melvin and his wife Vicky Bergstrom of Swedesburg; two sisters-in-law, Florence Bergstrom of Ottumwa, and Beth Bergstrom of Bloomington, Ill.; and a brother-in-law, Vincent Lindeen of Swedesburg.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Gilbert, Arvid and Wally; and a sister, Violet Lindeen.
