Marie Emma English

      MT. PLEASANT - Marie Emma English, 82, of Mt. Pleasant and formally of the Trenton area, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      Funeral services have been set for 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at the Trenton Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey McPheron officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 in the evening. A memorial fund has been established to the Trenton Methodist Church.

      Mrs. English was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Germany, the daughter of Fredrick and Elizabeth (Meyer) Horstmann. She married Alfred Lyle English on Feb. 6, 1940, in Big Rock.
