Marie M. Marie

Marie M. Marie, 95, of Washington, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, in the Washington Care Center following declining health.

      Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in the St. James Catholic Church in Washington with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A rosary will be at 4:30 p.m. and a vigil service will be at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. James School Scholarship Fund.

      Mrs. Marie was born Jan. 25, 1913, in Harper, the daughter of Jacob and Paulena (Heuberger) Schmitt. She married Leonard J. Marie in 1936 at St. Elizabeth Church in Harper.
