RIVERSIDE ? Marilyn J. Eagle, 83, of Riverside, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at her home.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 7, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Riverside. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery. Following the committal services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at St. Mary?s Parish Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Riverside, with a 4 p.m. vigil. A general memorial fund has been established.
Mrs. Eagle was born April 20, 1933, in Riverside, the daughter of Lyle J. and Bessie D. (Gerot) Fesler. She married Richard W. Eagle on Dec. 1, 1951, in San Diego, California.
She was a nursing assistant at the University of Iowa Hospitals for over 40 years. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, and enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and making kolaches.
Surviving are four children, Cheri White of Iowa City, Diane Lorang and husband Damien of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Linda Krotz and husband Don of Ainsworth, and Paul Eagle and wife Sherri of Riverside; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Philbin of Madison, Wisconsin, and Shirley Clausen of Solon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one infant brother; and three sisters, Marjorie Walsh, Marie Reed, and Wilma Buline.
