COLUMBUS JUNCTION ? Marilyn Ramirez, 48, died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at her home in Conesville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Columbus Community Schools High School Gym. Burial will be in the Conesville Cemetery. Following the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Thirsty Camel, south of Conesville on Highway 70. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at the school. A general memorial fund has been established. The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Ramirez was born March 30, 1968, in Melrose Park, Illinois, the daughter of Wayne and Myrna (Ramker) Riehle. She married Eugenio Ramirez on Jan. 31, 1994, in Wapello.
She had worked as a clerk for the City of Conesville and with special-needs children at the Columbus Community School. She was known for her caring, empathetic and gentle caregiver ways, and for her hospitality and heart of gold. She loved the Lord with all her heart and mind. She was a member of the Grandview Community Bible Church and had taken several lay missionary courses. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, animals, thrift-store shopping, and ?laughing and talking over coffee.?
Surviving are her husband, Eugenio Ramirez of Conesville; four children, Daniel Antonio Ramirez and wife Nanette of Mexico, Marina Ramirez, Mark Ramirez, and Mauricio Ramirez, all of Conesville; one grandchild; her mother and stepfather, Myrna and Dennis Wolf of Crystal Lake, Illinois; four siblings, Mark Riehle of Conesville, Mitch Riehle and wife Rosa of Mars, Pennsylvania, Margaret Riehle-Moeller and husband Steve of Millbrook, Illinois, and Mary Gosztola and husband David of Naperville, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; her aunts; and her grandparents.
