Marion 'Jake' Raymond

      KALONA - Marion "Jake" Raymond, 78, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, in his home following a short illness.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 27 in the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with the Rev. Lynn Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Raymond was born Nov. 20, 1929 in Washington, the son of Roy and Cora (Miller) Raymond. He married Hazel Ayers Simmering on May 29, 1953 in Iowa City.
