Marjorie A. Martin, 88, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 at Community Care Center in Stuart.

Open visitation will be held until 7 p.m. today, Jan. 8, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Wallarab officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Marjorie Adeline Martin was born Oct. 2, 1919 in Utica, to Worthy and Ethel Vera Harper Pratt. She was a graduate of Stockport High School with the Class of 1938. Marjorie was united in marriage with Ralph Edison Martin October 12, 1952. He died Oct. 22, 1987.

Marjorie was employed at Dexter Company and Woody's Restaurant. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sisters, Virginia Hooper and her husband Harry of Keosauqua and Janet Pratt; two brothers, Keith Pratt and his wife Donna of Birmingham and Donald Holmes, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, two sisters and one brother: Maxine Issacson, Barbara Holmes and Darrell Pratt.
