Marjorie Brown September 29, 1913 - August 1, 2003

Marjorie Ellen Brown, 89, formerly of Salem, died on Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at the Pleasant Manor Care Center.

      The funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. today at the Salem Friends Church with the Revs. Tom Palmer and Harold Dorsey officiating. Burial was in the Salem South Cemetery. Memorials have been established to the Salem Friends Church, Lewelling Quaker Shrine and the Diabetes Association.

      Survivors include a daughter, Beverly and her husband Art Hamm of Mt. Pleasant; a son, E. Mike and his wife Martha Brown of Salem; a sister, Ina Cook of Chelsea, Mich.; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law.

      Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; two infant daughters, Joan and Joyce; a son, Charles; a sister, Ellen Hatch; and two brothers, Merle and Harold Stanley.
