Marjorie Estella Droz

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11 at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Betsy Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 10 at the Behner Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the Washington County Hospice.

Mrs. Droz was born March 9, 1917, in Fairfield, the daughter of Lloyd C. and Mamie Nott Bogardus. She married Clarence R. "Banty" Droz on June 5, 1937 in Mt. Pleasant. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1935. She was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress at the Fairfield Glove Factory. She enjoyed bowling and was on many local bowling leagues. She enjoyed sewing, repairing, and dressing antique dolls. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge of Fairfield. She was also a member of the First Lutheran Church and church circles in Fairfield. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Steve Droz of Parnell; one daughter, Cathy Houseal of Germanville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one sister, Dorothy Thys.
