Marjorie M. Striegel

      KEOTA - Marjorie M. Striegel, 88, of Harper, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at the Manor House Care Center in Sigourney, following a brief illness.

      Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Charles Fladung and the Rev. Robert Striegel officiating. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemeteries-St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Harper. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where there will be a rosary at 4 p.m. and a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for Manor House Care Center.

      Mrs. Striegel was born Nov. 22, 1920, in rural Sigourney, to Zeno and Edna (Horras) Hammes. She married Cletus M. Striegel on April 3, 1945, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clear Creek Township.
