Mark Eugene Bradley, age 63, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Washington County Hospital following a sudden illness.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Ducks Unlimited and can be mailed to Brandi Glaspie at P.O. Box 604, Washington, IA 52353. Mark was born July 19, 1960, in Fairfield, Iowa, the son of Jack Eugene and Dolores “Dee” Elaine (Godwin) Bradley. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1978 and attended Indian Hills Community College and Kirkwood Community College. Mark was united in marriage to Jeanna Lorraine Cunningham on February 14, 1981, in Fairfield.

Mark worked as a Production Manager for the Fairfield Ledger before moving to Washington in 1994 where he was the Production Manager for the Washington Evening Journal. Following his graduation from Kirkwood, Mark was an Adjunct Instructor for Kirkwood where he taught Computer Science. He later worked for Archer Appliance as the IT Director. For the past three years, Mark drove a school bus for the Washington Community School District. While in Fairfield, Mark participated in four productions at the Fairfield Community Theater and worked many years at the Co-Ed Theater in Fairfield. Mark was a sports enthusiast and helped coach his children’s basketball and softball teams and umpired girls’ softball for several years. Mark enjoyed golfing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Iowa Hawkeyes Fan. He volunteered at the Royal Ball for St. James School for several years. Mark enjoyed hunting and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed spending time with his family and camping at Marr Park and Lake Darling.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanna Bradley of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Marcia Smith and husband Jacob of Ankeny, Iowa; daughter, Jennifer Bradley of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Brandi Glaspie and husband Derek of Washington, Iowa; son, Mark Jackson Eugene Bradley of Washington, Iowa; nine grandchildren; mother, Dee Bradley of Fairfield, Iowa; sister, Debbie Updike and husband Chuck of Jerseyville, Illinois; sister, Sandy Stever and husband Ralph of Libertyville, Iowa; brother, Jason Bradley and wife Rachel of North Liberty, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Jack Eugene Bradley, in February of 2024.
