Marla Gale Slaughter

LONE TREE ? Marla Gale Slaughter, 65, of Lone Tree, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, in the Lone Tree Health Care Center in Lone Tree.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree with the Rev. Susan Barnes officiating. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Lone Tree American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

    Mrs. Slaughter was born Sept. 19, 1945, in Terrell, Texas, the daughter of Donald Wesley and Evelyn ?Tootsie? (Wiese) Lantz. She married Gary Raymond Slaughter on April 4, 1964, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Lone Tree.
