Marlene M. Dochterman

      KALONA - Marlene M. Dochterman, 73, of Solon, formerly of Iowa City, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in Solon Nursing Care Center following a courageous battle with dementia.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 23 in Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Visitation will be all day Sunday in the funeral home, where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Iowa City Hospice.

      Mrs. Dochterman was born Sept. 7, 1933 in Washington, the daughter of Roy and Cora (Miller) Raymond. She married George Leedom on July 22, 1950 in Washington. He died in 1978. She later married Richard Dochterman in Las Vegas, Nev. on Aug. 13, 1979. He died in April 1983.
