Marlin Dean Crile, 68, of Glenwood, and formerly of the Trenton Community, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, in Council Bluffs.

Marlin was born on December 24, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Carlys J. and Darlene M. (Schantz) Crile. Marlin enjoyed spending time outdoors on the farm with his father, going to auctions, livestock especially horses, going to church and listening to all kinds of music, and drinking coffee. Farming held a special place in his heart.

He is survived by his sister, Janice (Larry) Baumann of Waterloo; and his two brothers, Bennett (Judy) Crile of Mt. Pleasant, Bradley (Jill) Crile of Wayland; along with several nieces and nephews.

Marlin was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Dennis and Curtis.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Ryan Dexter officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Home Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The family will not be present. Memorials may be directed to the Voice of the Retarded in his memory.
