Marlin Samuel Wyse
Marlin Samuel Wyse, 79, of Goshen, Ind., died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at the Greencroft Healthcare Center.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in Wayland with the Revs. Roger Farmer, Linford Martin and Rich Kauffman officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Beatty Funeral Home of Wayland is assisting the family.
Mr. Wyse was born Feb. 17, 1921 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Samuel and Emma Saltzman Wyse. He married Aldine Eichelberger on Aug. 11, 1946, in Wayland. He farmed for most of his life and moved to Middlebury, Ind., in 1992. He was a member of Sugar Creek Mennonite Church and an associate member of the First Mennonite Church of Middlebury, Ind.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Bonnie and Rich Kauffman of Middlebury, Marla and Wilbur Mast of Goshen and Lynette and Craig Gingerich of Kalona; and a brother, Eldon and Pauline Wyse of Wayland. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Scott in 1992, and a sister, Lorene Fisher.
