Marlin Kent Simons, 64,

of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at Jefferson County Hospital.

No services are planned at this time.

Marlin was born Feb. 9, 1956, in Fairfield to Marshall and Nellie (Garrison) Simons. Marlin served in the Marine Corps and after the service he went to California and worked at Howard Hughes' Corp. In Fairfield, he worked for Carlson Concrete and the Fairfield Ledger. On the side, he had his own carpentry business. Some of Marlin's interest were working on computers, fishing and motorcycles.

Marlin will be missed by his two sisters, Marsha (Larry) Johnson and Melissa (Mike) Wheaton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Nellie; and brother, Michael.
