Marlyn ?Hoddy? Lyle Allen

Marlyn ?Hoddy? Lyle Allen was born February 28, 1924 in Wellman, Iowa, the son of Glenn Thomas and Emma Mae (Perrin) Allen.  On October 17, 1946 he was united in marriage to Gayle Maxine Ulin in Rock Island, she died on December 1, 1984.  On June 7, 1986 he was united in marriage to Jeanette Mundt in Winterset.  Hoddy died on Monday, July 30, 2018 at his home in West Chester at the age of 94 years. Hoddy is survived by his wife Jeanette; son, Randy Allen of Wellman; 2 daughters, Julie Reschly of Keota, Linda Dawson of Wellman; son-in-law Steve Clark of Iowa City; 6 step children, Diana Carroll of Brighton, Donna Blair of Griswold, Jeff Holtmyer of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jerry Holtmyer of Washington, Denise Peiffer of Washington, Deb Vohs of Moville, 17 grandchildren, 14 step grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Wellman.  Burial will be in the Wassonville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 2-8 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman.
