Martha E. Walker

      Martha E. Walker, 84, of Washington, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Nancy Oehler Love officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date in the Crawfordsville Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the United Church of Crawfordsville, the Ainsworth Community Church or the United Presbyterian Home.

      Mrs. Walker was born Nov. 9, 1924, in Washington, the daughter of E. Latimer and Mary Alda (Twinam) Davis. She married John Wallace Walker on Aug. 1, 1946, in Ainsworth.
