Martha Elizabeth Moeller
Martha Elizabeth Moeller, 86, of Houghton, died at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 at the Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at the St John's Catholic Church in Houghton where the family will meet with friends from 6-8 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and there will be a wake service at 7 p.m.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at St. John's Catholic Church in Houghton with Fr. Gary Beckman as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery in Houghton. Memorials may be made to the St. John's Catholic Church of Houghton.
Born March 27, 1921 at West Point, Martha was the daughter of George and Anna Stuekerjuergen Mehmert. On Feb. 4, 1942 at West Point, she married Leonard J. Moeller.
Martha was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Houghton where she sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the Houghton Quilters.
Survivors include five sons, Mark (Glorine) Moeller of Salem, Kenneth (Martha) Moeller of West Burlington, John Moeller of Richardson, Texas, Michael Moeller of Plano, Texas, and Patrick Moeller of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Janet (David) Marguia of Branson, Mo., and Marlene Seward of Richardson, Texas; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Rosie Ping of West Point, Cecelia Kruse of rural Donnellson, Gertie (Leroy) Kruse of Houghton, Ruth (Bill) Meylor of Rockford, Ill., and Marietta Conrad of Houghton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers Joseph and Barney Mehmert.
Schmitz-Lynk Funeral home of West Point is assisting the family with arrangements.
