Martha H. Holtkamp September 14, 1919 - February 29, 2004

Martha H. Holtkamp, 84, of rural Hillsboro, died at 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

      The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 4 at St. John's Catholic Church in Houghton, with Father Dennis Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Church. Visitation will be at Link Funeral Home in West Point from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3. Memorials have been established to the local community rescue service or Marquette Schools.

Survivors include two daughters, Gloria and her husband Lance Giberson of Keosauqua, and Sharon Reno of Burlington; two grandchildren and one great-grandson; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Holtkamp of Fort Madison.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Otto, Reinard and Gunnard; and a sister, Clara.
