Martha M. Trout

Martha May Trout, 79, of Marion, died Thursday, Feb. 7, at her home.

A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. today, Feb. 11, at Winfield United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Nancy Bender officiating. Burial was at the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Hospice of Mercy in Cedar Rapids.

She was born Feb. 22, 1928, in Winfield, the daughter of Lloyd and Donna Van Dyke Swan. On June 8, 1946, she married William Trout in Winfield.

A graduate of Winfield High School, she was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Dennis Trout and his wife Jessica of Marion and Larry Trout and his wife Sara of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Colleen Trout of Marion and Kyleen Merritt and her husband Jeff of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Frances Allen of Arizona; one sister-in-law, Irma Swan of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Her parents, son Kenneth Trout, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
