Martha S. Winborn

      Martha S. Winborn, 95, of Kalona, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a lingering illness.

      Celebration of life services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Sharon Center United Methodist Church in rural Kalona, with the Rev. Doug Cue officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Center Methodist Church Cemetery, rural Kalona. Visitation will be from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for Sharon Center United Methodist Church.

      Mrs. Winborn was born Feb. 27, 1912, the daughter of Carl and Emma (Larson) Edmund. She married Everett Winborn on Aug. 5, 1944, at First Lutheran Church in Ottumwa.
