Martin Otto Leudtke, 85, of New London died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Lunning Chapel in Burlington with the Rev.Keith A. Haerer officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 28 at Lunning Chapel with family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A memorial has been established.
Mr. Luedtke was born April 5, 1914, at Lockridge, the son of Theodore and Augusta Minnie Schroeder Luedtke. He married Ruth Donahue in 1954. They divorced in 1967. In 1971, he married Nancy Stanford, who died in 1972. In 1974, he married Lillian Keracher, who died in 1994. He worked at Case for sixteen years and was a lifelong farmer. He retired from Case in 1979. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Burlington and belonged to the American Legion Lodge 579 in Mt. Pleasant. He served in the Army Air Corp. during WWII, from 1944 to 1945. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors include one daughter, Jean Semenko of Greensburg, Pa.; three sons, Delbert Leudtke of Green Valley, Ill., Donald Leudtke of Bluegrass, and Anthony Luedtke of Cleveland, Tenn.; a sister, Elsie O. Luedtke of Fairfield; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; his three wives; one son; and three sisters.
