Mary Ann Shepherd

      Mary Ann Shepherd of Fairfield, died of natural causes Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at Nelson Nursing Home.

The funeral is set for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Stephen Page presiding. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Prayers for a Christian Wake will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home, with family visitation following until 4 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m.

      Memorials may be made to the Fairfield Public Library or Masses at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

      Mrs. Shepherd was born July 30, 1917, in West Point, Iowa, the daughter of Anton and Mary Bohnenkamp Box. She married Loren "Barney" Shepherd Sept. 10, 1938, in Burlington.
