Mary Ann Ve Copeland, 79, of Libertyville, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Prestige Care Center.

Visitation for family & friends will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville with a celebration of life starting at 10:30 a.m. Rev. John D Boatman will be officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Mary Ann was born October 26, 1943, in Keosauqua, Iowa, to David and Ada (Zeitler) Lazenby. She married Larry Copeland in Fairfield on February 19, 1960. This year they celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Mary Ann was a cosmetologist for 44 years and owned her own shop called Mary Ann’s Beauty Salon. Some of her interests were playing cards and traveling. Mary Ann and Larry spent a lot of time on the Des Moines River near Kilburn. Most important was spending time with family and friends.

Mary Ann was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church and volunteered at various church activities.

Mary Ann will be missed by her husband, Larry of Libertyville; two children, Douglas (Angela) Copeland and Alysia (Daniel) Fullerton; 4 grandchildren, Kirby Rowl, Adam Copeland, Miranda Bramble and Ashley Fullerton; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ada; and one sister, Juanita Strait.
