Mary Ardith McGuire

Mary Ardith McGuire, 85, of Washington, died Sunday, May 30, 2010, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington after failing in health the past two months.

    Celebration of life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 3, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Don Collings officiating.  Burial will be at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.  Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  Memorials have been established for Prairie Flower Baptist Church or the Halcyon House Good Samaritan Fund.

    Mrs. McGuire was born Feb. 23, 1925, in Washington, the daughter of Carl E. and Myrtle (McBeth) Jarrard.  She married George W. McGuire on Feb. 27, 1947.
