Mary Catherine Sheetz

      Mary Catherine Sheetz, 78, of Washington, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at United Presbyterian Home.

      Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2005, at United Presbyterian Church in Washington, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Interment will follow services in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., Friday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 4 until 6:30, Friday evening. A memorial has been established for United Presbyterian Home.

      Mrs. Sheetz was born Nov. 23, 1926, in Macomb, Ill., to John Henry and Catherine Lavisa (Duncan) Carey. She married Harold Norton on July 31, 1946, in Washington. Mr. Norton preceded her in death in 1972. She married Leland Sheetz on April 25, 1986, in Burlington. Mr. Sheetz preceded her in death in 2004.
