Mary DiAnn Metz

      Mary DiAnn Metz, 57, of Fairfield, died from cancer Saturday, July 19, 2008, in Fairfield.

      A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.

      Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today at the church in Fairfield.

      Memorials may be made, in lieu of flowers, to First United Methodist Church of Fairfield, Hospice of Central Iowa or St. James School of Washington, Iowa.

      Mrs. Metz was born June 6, 1951, in Nebraska City, Neb., the daughter of Edward and Greta Elizabeth Boettner Mincer. She married Michael Metz June 27, 1975, in Westboro, Mo.
