Mary Ella Lohman

Mary Ella Lohman, 78, of West Point, died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at Fort Madison Community Hospital.

      Her body has been donated to the University of Iowa. A memorial mass will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 21, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point with Father Apo Mpanda officiating . The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Link Funeral Home in West Point is in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established in her memory.

Survivors include five daughters, Dorothy Lohman of West Point; Dori and her husband Terry Schwenker of Burlington; Donna Lohman of Blue Grass; Rita Lohman and her husband Rick Beavers of Mt. Pleasant; and Joyce and her husband Dennis Kruse of Thorndale, Penn.; three sons, Dave "Farmer" and his wife Deb Cook Lohman of New London; Jeff Lohman of Bettendorf; and Mark Lohman of West Point; and nine grandchildren.

       She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard "Dick" Lohman and two brothers.
