Mary Hafner

    COLUMBUS JUNCTION ? Mary Hafner, 78, of Davenport, formerly of Wapello, died Monday, April 20, 2009, in the Genesis East Hospital in Davenport.

    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with the Rev. Joseph Sia officiating.  Following the services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Columbus Junction.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

    Mrs. Hafner was born Jan. 14, 1931, in Columbus Junction, the daughter of Ralph and Claire (Estle) Utter.  She married Byron ?Gene? Hafner on Sept. 9, 1950, in Davenport.
