Mary Helen Jewell

      Mary Helen Jewell, 77, of Washington, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at Halcyon House following a lengthy illness.

      Celebration of Life services will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at United Presbyterian Church in Washington, with the Rev. Chris Williams and the Rev. Robert Wollenberg officiating. Interment will be in Crawfordsville Cemetery in Crawfordsville. Visitation began at noon today at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Lives Under Construction Boys Ranch in Branson, Mo., or Hospice of Washington County.       Mary Helen was born on June 30, 1928, in Anthony, Ka., to Leroy H. and Ruby S. (Elliot) Montague. She graduated from Anthony High School in Anthony, Ka., and attended Kansas State University and Park College in Parkville, Mo. On Dec. 28, 1947 Mary Helen was united in marriage to James S. Jewell in Anthony, Ka.
