Mary J. Berg

      KEOTA - Mary J. Berg, 89, of Keota died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 in Maplewood Manor in Keota of declining health with her family by her side.

      Mass of Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13 in the Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota with the Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Trinity Cemeteries-St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery in Harper. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Powell Funeral Home in Keota. There will be a combined rosary and prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and Keota QRS.

      Mrs. Berg was born July 19, 1917 in Harper, the daughter of John and Margaret (Sieren) Merz. She married Leander Berg on Feb. 1, 1938.
