Mary Jane Hershberger

      KALONA - Mary Jane Hershberger, 89, of Kalona, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a lengthy illness.

      A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at 10 a.m., at Sunnyside Conservative Mennonite Church in Kalona, with the Rev. John King, the Rev. David L. Yoder, and the Rev. Dale Mast officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in rural Kalona. Visitation is today, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, where family will receive friends. A memorial has been established for Rosedale Mennonite Missions and Pleasantview Home

      Mrs. Hershberger was born Dec. 29, 1915, in rural Johnson County, to John J. and Amanda (Knepp) Byler. She married Alvin Hershberger, Sept. 15, 1946, in Kalona.
