Mary Jo Holbert-Mertz

      Mary Jo Holbert-Mertz, 70, of Keosauqua, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

      A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Keosauqua Congregational Church, with the Rev. Harold Schnedler officiating. The body has been cremated.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Memorials may be brought to the service or mailed to the family at PO Box 217, Keosauqua 52565.

      Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua assisted the family with arrangements.

      Mrs. Holbert-Mertz was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Keosauqua, the daughter of Harold Holbert and Josephine Daughrity Morris. She married Stan Mertz. They later divorced.
