Mary 'Kay' Catherine Greene

      Mary "Kay" Catherine Greene, 80, of Iowa City, formerly of Washington, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Monday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Prayer services will be held at 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorials have been established for St. James Catholic Church in Washington and Hospice of Washington County.

      Mrs. Greene was born Nov. 5, 1924, in Washington, to Raymond Valentine and Hazel Maryann (Pieper) Redlinger. On June 30, 1951, she married Ivan H. Greene in Des Moines.
