Mary L. Stolze

Mary L. Stolze, 102, of Mt. Pleasant, and a former Burlington resident died at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at the Mapleleaf Healthcare Center.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 10, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Burlington. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at the Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, where a Rosary will be recited by the Parish of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church at 4 p.m. The family will receive friends following the Rosary until 6 p.m. at the Weir Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the Henry County Hospice.

Mrs. Stolze was born Nov. 9, 1897, in West Point, the daughter of Camille and Louise Blint Erbland. She married August N. Stolze on Nov. 8, 1927, in Augusta. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1915 and was a former member of St. John's Catholic Church in Burlington. She was a member of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant.

Survivors include one daughter, Marci Hassenfritz of Mt. Pleasant; one son, Mark A. Stolze of Columbus, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Paul M. Stolze; one sister, Amelia Erbland; and two brothers, Albert and Joseph Erbland.
