Mary L. Widmer

Mary Lois Widmer, 81, of Williamsburg, formerly of the Olds and Crawfordsville communitites, died Saturday, Nov. 29, at Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Yoder-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Kalona, with family present from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., and from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Bethel Mennonite Church north of Wayland. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Phil Slabaugh officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for Crooked Creek Christian Camp, Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) or Williamsburg Library.

She was born July 9, 1927, in rural Johnson County, the daughter of John and Katie Yoder Swartzendruber. On May 29, 1949, she married Clayton Widmer near Kalona.
