Mary Lou Boal-Peterson, 92, of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society in Ottumwa. Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at the Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. Visitation for Mary Lou will be held from 10 to
11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at the Olds United Church of Christ. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at the church. A time of food and fellowship will follow the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Olds United Church of Christ or the Twin Lakes Country Club in memory of Mary Lou Baker. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Mary Lou Boal-Peterson was born Dec. 12, 1927, in Henry County, Iowa, near Swedesburg. She was the daughter of Raymond and Velma (Holley) Baker. She married Everett Boal on March 27, 1948. He died Aug. 17, 1988. She then married Donald R. Peterson Feb. 7, 1998.
Mary is survived by her husband; two daughters, Gail (Bruce) Wortmann of Bloomfield, Iowa, and Beverly (Scott) Murray of Ankeny, Iowa; and one son, Tom (Kerie) Boal of Columbus, Neb.; two stepdaughters, Joni (Paul) Rodgers of Ottumwa, Ioq, and Becki Plunkett of West Des Moines; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; daughter, Becky Boal; infant twin daughters; sisters, Virginia Lee and Lucile Owens; and one brother, Eugene Baker.
