Mary Margaret Bean

      WAYLAND - Mary Margaret Bean, 53, of Wayland, died unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

      Celebration of Life services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Wayland Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Nancy Renfro officiating. Visitation will began at noon today, at the church, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 8 this evening. Burial will be at a later date. Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the National TTT Camp for Girls, Girl Scouts of America or the Wayland Youth Center.

      Mrs. Bean was born on January 10, 1951, in Omaha, Neb., to Fred and Helen Evans. On June 14, 1975, she married Howard Bean in Des Moines.
