MARY LOUISE SCIPLE PAULDING

Mary Louise Sciple Paulding, 79, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at Jefferson County Health Center. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at First Baptist Church, Fairfield, Iowa. Celebration
of Life services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the church with Pastors John Kermott and Chuck Comfort officiating. Military honors will be at the church following the service.
Mary was born Aug. 12, 1942, in Mobile, Ala., to Theodore Forbes and Nannie Sue (Jordan) Sciple. She married Ralph Freeman Paulding III in Bremerhaven, Germany, on Nov. 19, 1966.
Mary served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1968. She graduated from nursing training in 1963 in Mobile, Ala. Mary was a nurse for 43 years. On March 10, 1953, she entered into a relationship with Christ. Mary grew in her faith by spending many hours studying her Bible, attending different Bible studies and being a member of the First Baptist Church. Some of Mary's interests were crocheting, cross stitch and following the St. Louis Cardinals. She especially loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren.
Mary will be missed by her husband of 54 years, Ralph of Fairfield; her two daughters, Kim (Darek) Quickle of Chattanooga, Okla., and Niki (Billy) Mathis of Libertyville, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Hunter (Danielle) Quickle of Snyder, Okla., Dakota Quickle of Chattanooga, Okla., Autumn (Matt) Henderson of Washington, Okla., McKayla (Brandon) Alt of Broken Arrow, Okla., Cody Mathis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Nathan Mathis and Joshua Mathis, both of Libertyville, Iowa; three great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Jane (Doug) Famell of Semmes, Ala., and Tom (Nancy) Sciple of Maryville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Forbes and Sue (Pop and Nana).
