Mary Shovar

Mary W. Shovar, 89, of Davenport, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at Genesis Medical Center East Campus in Davenport.

      The Celebration of Life service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17 at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport. A memorial has been established to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport.

Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Schultz of Moline, Ill., and M. Nicolette Shovar of Danville, Calif.; two sons, Patrick Shovar of Andalusia, and Scott Shovar of Davenport; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one step-great-grandson; and a brother, Dwight Stucker of Danville.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
