Matthew D. Billingsley January 6, 1975 - October 11, 2003

      Matthew D. Billingsley, 28, of Farmington, died at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, in an accident north of Farmington. He was riding on a fifth wheel trailer behind a pickup truck. He jumped from the trailer and fell beneath a wheel.

      The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery southwest of Bonaparte. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present from 3 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 703 South 5th Street, Farmington, IA 52626.

      Surviving are his wife Dawn; a daughter and son, Christine and Tanner Billingsley at home; his mother, Maria and her husband Allan Rains of Bonaparte; his stepmother, Jean Billingsley; a brother, Dale Billingsley; a stepbrother, Jon Menuis; a stepsister, Christa Menuis, all of Ottumwa; and grandparents, Bernard and Maxine Clark of Bonaparte.

      He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Travis Billingsley; and grandparents, Robert and Kate Billingsley.
