Matthew Joseph McCaughn, 29, of Monroe City, Mo., passed away at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his home in Monroe City, Mo. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of O'Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, Mo.

Matthew was born Aug. 27, 1992, in Joliet, Ill., to Tina Lacoca, she survives.

Matthew was preceded in death by two brothers, Jason Wallace and Timothy Wallace; and one sister, Nicole McCaughn.

Matthew enjoyed spending time with his best friend who was his mother. They had a special bond and enjoyed early morning fishing trips to The Point in Keosauqua, Iowa. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing Playstation or watching action movies and supernatural. He also enjoyed many genres of music, but his favorites were '80s and '90s hits. Matthew will be forever missed by all who knew him.
