Mattie J. Kauffman, 85, of Kalona
KALONA - Mattie J. Kauffman, 85, of Kalona, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Sunnyside Mennonite Church, with the Rev. John King, the Rev. David L. Yoder and the Rev. Floyd Helmuth officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Sunnyside Mennonite Church and for Pleasantview Home.
